If the Devil Wears Prada, i hope Angels get to wear Dior

The Devil Wears Prada was so....
girlyfunnybitchyheartwarmingcrazycringe-worthyfashioneyecandyandoh-so...
familiar.

Seeing Ann Hathaway (Andrea Sachs) rushing against time,
struggling with all her bags of Calvin Klein skirts,
attending photo shoots,
getting Starbucks SEARING HOT lattes,
begging for the impossible-to-get new Harry Potter book
and a steak for her boss, editor-in-chief, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) within 15 minutes when the restaurant hadn't even opened just seemed all too familiar.
Except that i didn't have to get the lattes, Harry Potter book and steak.
Thank god.

It's hard to believe that the show was actually based on a true character -
American Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour.
Apparently, one of her assistants got so chees-ed off she wrote a book about all the 'horrors' that she went through with her boss.
Haha.

But then again, coming back to the movie.
The fashion eye-candy was great.
What with all the couture fashion and Jimmy Choos, Gucci, Chanel and watching Anne Hathaway learning to spell Dolce & Gabbana.
I swear, Anne Hathaway had a HELLUVA fantastic wardrobe to choose from.
Her clothes were absolutely divine.
At a risk of sounding bimbotic and clueless,
Fashion is absolutely exciting.

Kai Yuen told me later after the show that that could possibly be my life next time.
And he asked me how i was going to juggle the time consuming worklife as well as having my own social life.
It's hard to answer that question actually.
But all i can say now is that,
I think what 'Andrea' did in the show initially was something that i would do.
Which was to score that coveted job that, and i quote from the movie, 'every girl was dying to have', in order to get the contacts that i would need to help boost my career in the industry.
But from then onwards,
I'm not so sure how i'll handle it, how i'll juggle it or balance it.
But all i do know is that i'm praying hard as hell that my boss doesn't wear Prada.
Versace, Chanel, Dior, Hermès etc.. Fine.
Just not Prada.
