Hongkie Tonk -- Honk Honk!
The streets look the same everywhere
Neon lights flash at every street
Water drips from the air condition vents above
The people wash their own utensils with hot tea before using for every meal
and they don't ever use plates.
It's the Hongkie Tonk land ah people
(Say with Hongkie accent)
The land where you shop till you drop and eat till you burst.
It's been 4 days.
Hows everyone? =)
I kinda miss you guys.
Strangely.
Hee.
Full force shopping hasn't started yet
But we've definitely been out full force in terms of body care.
haha.
Cost of full body and foot reflexology massage (plus free flow of any non-alcoholic drink, fruits, steam room, sauna, shower and jacuzzi services) = S$26
(Think 5 star quality treatment complete with flat screen personal tvs, free internet services all under one roof)
Cost of manicure and Pedicure complete will nail art = S$10
Cost of overall self pamper = priceless
That's for Shenzhen by the way.
Hongkong prices are waaaaayyy crazy and there are ridiculous waiting lists for good quality pamper-ment.
Have been spending quite a bit of time with kai's family.
They've been great and extremely generous with me but i feel a lot of pressure and stress.
I don't know why.
Probably because communication with them is a bit of a problem for me
I'm afraid that whatever i say comes out all wrong.
You know,
the tone,
the choice of words.
And i'm worried that they'll think i'm trying too hard and that i'm being such a weirdo.
I think they're kinda a bit sianz that i don't really have a very adventurous palate for animal innards and exotic stuff.
And i feel bad cuz everytime they ask me to try, i decline.
But i really can't eat it.
It's a both taste and psychological thing.
It's like Fear Factor - Hong Kong.
What with food like frog sperm dessert (I ate that - squirm) and animal offal.
And trying to convert what i want to say to Cantonese or Chinese is a real pain in the ass.
As you all should know.
But okay.
Am improving.

Went to Lan Kuai Fong 2 days ago
.....
The clubs in Singapore are way better.
What with places like Zouk and MOS.
Which are huge-ass.
The clubs here are puny.
Or maybe it was where i went
and the fact that Kai threw a wonderful tantrum that measured 9.5 on the Richter scale about hating the whole clubbing scene.
Which inevitably resulted in him and me leaving early.
-rolls eyeballs-
A toast to shopping, shopping and more shopping.
You keep me sane.
